Scott has given us permission to flesh out the details of the world of The Dreamland Chronicles to help fill up the WIKI with information. A poll helped us pick the name for the school that Alex, Dan, and Nicole are attending but there is so much more we can do. Donnabrook University in honor of the support Scott receives from his wife to make this wonderful story.

EDIT: Scott thought of Winsor McCay University instead as a way to honor the creator of Little Nemo in Slumberland, one of the inspirations for The Dreamland Chronicles.

A University needs a few things to set it apart from all the others. School colors, a logo, a crest, a Latin motto, a mascot, a year the school was founded.

Then there are all the details of the physical school. We have seen a number of the buildings and at a University every building has a name. The residence hall that Alex and Dan live in, the sleep lab, the library, and any number of other buildings seen in the background could all have fan picked names.

Editing the wiki takes some time but if you just have an idea that you want to share here I could combine them all into the final edit of the pages. A small group could maintain the wiki as long as there is a large group creating content to add to it. Any and all suggestions are welcome although Scott of course has veto power on any idea that doesn't fit into his world.

Sounds like a D&D monster manual kind of progression: you have the "limpet" monster, then the "giant limpet" monster which is just a lot bigger and tougher, and finally the "dire limpet" monster which is bigger, tougher, and turns you to stone unless you make a saving throw versus magic or something.

Wait, are we going to have "individuals design certain aspects" or are we going to have "Competition to determine certain aspects?" Because if it's competition, I think it should be a sketch competition. One guy chooses the mascot is a gecko, so he draws a gecko, and we vote for the gecko over every other option (which includes horses and cats). That sort of thing.

The whole thing is kind of open for debate. I wanted a place to discuss if anyone wanted to migrate away from the comments but they haven't seemed to. I figured if people put up some ideas we could decide if they worked or if something else was better.

Ooooookaaaaay, some of us don't have access to that portion of the website. And mascots are more aesthetic than species choice, anyway... I still feel an art competition would be slightly more fair.

Although, if you insist, I could just draw an ROUS. No guarantee it'll be a rat, though. I'm assuming the mascot has a mascot costume?

Actually, I just had the most bizarre idea. Mwahahahahaha.
