I've relocated this topic to the "Whatever" section.
I've also checked out the linked websites, and I suspect this post of being malicious. The myspace profile indicates a person whose last login was in September 2008. The "video" site appears to be inviting people to install fake "flashplayer.exe", which is a common way to get malicious software onto computers. The page content at that link has been mostly ripped off from Yahoo! Australia. The domain name "lolykong.net" (used for the video) was registered as recently as 22-Dec-2009, and was probably created for purely malicious purposes. Further searching shows that this "I am a rookie in the forum" message has been posted across a wide range of unrelated forums.
I think we can safely say that this post is a trap, so I've scuppered the links in the original post. The poster has one week to respond, and then I'm deleting this post AND the account of the poster.
Don't mess with me. My last job title was "Research Fellow in Cybercrime". |

No no no, let's keep the thread open! After all, there are some young internet users on this forum, or looking at this forum, since Dreamland is a fairly friendly comic. I think they should be educated about scams like these, lest they fall to the three-headed fanged Borthian of New York. And also hackers. |

Everyone who is likely to read this topic as a matter of browsing the forum is likely to have done so within a week. After that, it will tend to get buried with all the other hundreds of inactive topics on the forum. |
